About Us

My journey to becoming a Counsellor is rooted in resilience. Despite academic challenges in my early years—now recognised as dyslexia—I pursued my passion and returned to university at 26, earning a degree in sport and human movement studies. This led to a fulfilling career as a physical education teacher by the age of 30.

My therapeutic journey began in 2000, realising my strength lay not just in delivering lessons but in supporting students' welfare. Over 23 years of teaching, coupled with training as a counsellor and systemic practitioner, I've gained extensive knowledge of mental health issues. I have supported individuals dealing with issues such as anxiety, divorce, relationship issues, and bereavement. A key achievement was establishing the “Baldrik” project—a successful male mental health program addressing the often-taboo topic of suicide. Recognising a gap in supporting male pupils, I organised a community event focused on male mental health, collaborating with various organisations and securing sponsorships and guest speakers.
